For the tourist, who is a little bit familiar with the history of mankind, there is no need to ask the question: what is so attractive Uzbekistan and that makes it stand out among hundreds of other tourist destinations. Because the answer is obvious: the same things almost two and a half millennia ago attracted Alexander the Great this land, called by the ancient Greeks Transoxiana; by what fascinated Arabs this region, called them Mawarannahr, the edge of two great Central Asian rivers ― the Amu-Darya and Syr-Darya rivers, the mighty cities-oases inhabited by skilled artisans, the country of the generous fields and gardens, giving to the sun laden with crops.

Waves of Macedonians, Arabs, Mongols moved on fertile land and millennial cities, each time proclaiming and establishing eternal empire. Their eternal empire laid to rest by the winds of time, scattered and covered with sand, and the people of this land ― skilled, enterprising, open and welcoming ― just enjoyed the generous sun and each new person.

Of course, tourism in Uzbekistan has traditionally been associated with the cities of UNESCO World Heritage Sites ― Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. Their history goes back centuries, the ancient walls of the ramparts remember phalanx of Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan's hordes of warriors and battle formations of Tamerlane.

In Uzbekistan a variety of leisure activities is available: active ― mountaineering, rock climbing and skiing in the mountains trekking in Beldersay, as well as rafting on a tributary of the Chatkal reservoir Charvak River with thresholds at different levels of complexity. Uzbekistan's mountains are considered warm ― the temperature rarely drops below to 20 degrees. Winter recreation infrastructure in the mountains of Uzbekistan organized only in Chimgan and Beldersay (about 90 km from Tashkent), where boarding house  are modern hotel-style cottages and private sector. Ski season is usually from late December to early March.
